This Malian regional hospital chose a private MV distribution scheme with an ENERGIE incoming substation and a 1000 kVA transformer station. CVCI supplied all the Schneider SM6 modular SF6 MV switchgear, the 1000 kVA Trihal dry-type transformer chosen for hospital fire safety, and the Prisma Plus main switchboard.
The main switchboard comprises 8 outgoing feeders fitted with MasterPact NW circuit breakers with per-feeder current and energy metering, allowing the facility to precisely track consumption by department (operating theatre, emergency, administration, etc.) and identify anomalies.
An Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) system controls the automatic changeover to an 800 kVA generator in less than 10 seconds, with delayed grid return to avoid oscillations on an unstable public grid. This architecture ensures 24/7 electrical continuity for vital services.
